Frida Kahlo is a Mexican artist famous for painting works inspired by nature, her heritage, and of course, her self portraits. Her self portraits depict everything from her dreams to the pain she suffered as a result of a tram accident and the many surgeries which followed. She is one of the worlds most celebrated female artists, even appearing on Mexico’s 500 pesos bank note.

Frida loved to wear flowers in her hair and tradition Mexican clothing. We continue the theme of flowers and her heritage in our earrings. As well, we have added a reminder of Frida’s most iconic earrings- a pair of doll hands that were gifted to her from Pablo Picasso. Frida was photographed in these earrings multiple times and even included them in her 1940 painting ‘Self Portrait Dedicated to Dr Eloesser”.

Handmade and designed in Australia- slight natural variations will occur due to the handmade nature of our product.
